The Evolving OCIO Landscape
The Outsourced Chief Investment Officer Landscape continues to evolve, driven by increased market volatility and complexity, regulatory changes, rising demand for expertise, and technological advancements. This session will explore the key forces shaping the industry today and touch on trends and themes across the institutional and wealth spectrum, including the expanding client base, consolidation, and creative solutions. The group discussion format will explore opportunities, current challenges, and perspectives on how to navigate this evolving landscape. Sona will set the scene by discussing the industry backdrop, outlining key dynamics, sharing her experience, and then opening the floor to the group for insights and perspectives.
An Allocator’s Perspective
Change within the investment landscape is inevitable. How institutional allocators respond to change will ultimately determine success. This session will feature Dr. Mohamed Elkordy, who is a Senior Investment Officer for the $270B New York State Common Retirement Fund, where he focuses on opportunistic Private Investments, including direct and co-investments in equity, credit, and venture. This session will delve into how institutional allocators like the NYS Common Fund are addressing market volatility and asset allocation, highlighting their top priorities.
Institutional Investment Consultant Insights
The definition of ‘consult’ is to seek information or advice from someone with expertise in a particular area. At the core, institutional consultants are the trusted experts their clients rely on. In this session featuring David Hyman of Mercer Investments, we’ll discuss trends in client activity, asset allocation, investment solutions, and best practices in communication.
We look forward to your participation in what promises to be an engaging and impactful discussion.
