The Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Hartford Funds will be responsible for identifying emerging technologies, building cloud-native services, driving automation, and enhancing governance and controls to safeguard our organization's cloud assets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve security policies, procedures, and standards for cloud operations.
- Enhance governance frameworks and controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure cloud architectures and solutions.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Lead incident response efforts related to cloud security incidents.
- Mitigate identified threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Design and develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes and enhance efficiency.
- Implement automation for monitoring, response, and incident handling in the cloud environment.
- Continuously analyze security processes and controls to identify areas for improvement.
- Propose and implement enhancements to stay ahead of evolving threats and technologies.
- Strong desire to learn the asset management business and to apply novel solutions to solve complex challenges.
- Remain current with the emerging cloud technologies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, AWS Certified Security, or equivalent
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., JSON, Python, Bash)
- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, including IAM, networking, and data protection
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
