Finalists for 2017 Money Management Industry/Barron’s Industry Awards Announced

NEW YORK, NY, September 14, 2017 – The Money Management Institute (MMI) today announced the finalists for the 2017 MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards, which recognize innovation and leadership in the investment advisory solutions industry. 

“Now in their ninth year, these annual awards celebrate outstanding achievement and honor firms that have raised the bar by delivering ground-breaking investment advisory solutions and related programs for financial advisors and investors over the past year,” said Craig Pfeiffer, MMI President and CEO. “As MMI celebrates its twentieth anniversary, we are pleased to welcome Barron’s, one of the world’s most respected financial publications, as a co-presenter of this year’s awards.”

Nominations for the 2017 MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards were submitted in an open nomination process, and finalists were selected by a special review committee representing all segments of the MMI membership. The winners in each category will be determined by a vote of MMI member firms.

Proceeds from the 2017 MMI/Barron’s Industry Awards Dinner will benefit MMI’s workplace diversity program, Gateway to Leadership, a 501(c)(3) charity. The Gateway to Leadership program offers career awareness programs, industry education, internships, and full-time, entry-level placements for aspiring college students from diverse backgrounds who may not otherwise have a natural pathway into the financial services industry.
