FROM THE PRESIDENT
A Message from Craig Pfeiffer
We have the utmost concern for the health and safety of our members and feel the decisions to cancel MMI Summit 2020 and postpone the 2020 Toronto Wealth Management Summit had to be taken in the interest of the well-being of attendees, speakers, guests, and MMI staff.
I ask you to understand that these decisions were forced upon us and to be patient as we steer through the next steps. We have actively engaged the MMI Board, Executive Committee, and officers, and I assure you that the discussions have been comfortably aligned in the interests of the MMI membership, the continuity of our organization, and its vitality.
We want to do our part so we’ve shifted our strategic focus. First, we are focused on delivering upcoming events virtually in an effort to keep everyone safe and are exploring the best way to share the valuable session content that has been developed. Second, the MMI team implemented our Remote Continuity Model on March 10th. Please note that this decision was aligned with guidance from authorities and actions MMI member firms are deploying. We are 100% confident we can support your needs from our remote locations during this time. As always, we will be available via phone and email. If you have any questions please contact us at (646) 868-8500 or click here for a Team Directory.
Most importantly, during these challenging times, we extend our best wishes to you, your colleagues, and your family. Please be responsible with your health, leverage your leadership skills, and contribute to helping our industry, your firm, our MMI community and – most importantly – our clients, navigate this shared experience.
MMI Summit 2020 Cancelled – Stay Tuned for Updates
Given the growing concern surrounding the Coronavirus – now labeled a pandemic – MMI cancelled its upcoming Summit 2020 scheduled for March 26th and 27th in Orlando. At this time, it is still too early to discuss an alternate date for the Summit. We are diligently exploring the best way to share the content, including virtual delivery. More to come.
