Hartford Funds is seeking a Head of Public Relations to join our dedicated team. As the Head of Public Relations, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies that enhance our company's reputation and drive engagement with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the development and execution of PR strategies that align with Hartford Funds' business objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure impactful coverage.
• Coordinate crisis communication efforts by providing timely and effective responses to manage reputation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Hartford Funds and our Subadvisors to create compelling messaging and storylines that resonate with target audiences.
• Oversee the creation of press releases other materials to support communication efforts.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues to proactively adjust PR strategies.
• Manage resources supporting these efforts including staff, agency, and leveraging Corporate Resources

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in public relations
• Proven track record of successfully executing PR campaigns and securing media coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Strong network of media contacts and industry influencers with a focus on investment management.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align PR efforts with business goals.
• Proficiency in crisis communication and issues management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
