Hartford Funds is looking for a motivated person who is interested in joining a data-focused team supporting an enterprise data warehouse. The candidate for this role will need a technical foundation with an understanding on how data applies to business operations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Leverage technical foundation in SQL, Tableau and Python to discover actionable insights in data
• Perform data analysis and data updates to ensure accurate reporting
• Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to help business users interpret analytics
• Provide support to business and drive operational enhancements
• Work with vendors and/or internal systems to improve quality and timeliness of data

Qualifications: 

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Data Analyst like role
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, another computer-based discipline or like experience
• Databases:  Strong experience with SQL-based databases (Snowflake is a plus)
• Python
• Expertise and fluency in SQL language
• Knowledge of fundamental data modeling concepts (e.g., ER Diagrams, normalization, etc.)
• Knowledge of data warehousing techniques (dimensional modeling / star schema, etc.)
• Knowledge building reports (eg. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, etc…) is a plus
• Experience with various integration patterns (e.g. Flat Files, Web Services, etc.) is a plus
• Must be comfortable/excited working in a fast-paced, high impact environment  
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to obtain a good understanding of the business context of a problem in order to ensure the solution is optimal in solving the business needs
