Money Management Institute Expands its Continuous Learning Center with Online Courses from Industry-Leading Organizations: Offerings from CAIA, Investments & Wealth Institute, and CFA Institute Now Available

NEW YORK, NY, May 10, 2018 – The Money Management Institute (MMI) today announced the addition of several well-respected financial education programs from prominent industry organizations to its Continuous Learning Center.

“The Continuous Learning Center is the embodiment of MMI's commitment to enabling professional development and continuous learning,” said Craig Pfeiffer, MMI President and CEO. “Launched last summer, the Center is a one-stop, online hub for investment advisory solutions professionals that provides access to an expanding marketplace of best-in-class educational offerings on a broad range of topics. In addition to MMI-developed courses, we are proud to announce that the Center now also includes highly-regarded curriculums from CAIA Association, Investments & Wealth Institute (formerly IMCA), and CFA Institute.”

CAIA’s Fundamentals of Alternative Investments certificate program is a self-paced, 20-hour course that fills a critical education gap in the ever-changing landscape of alternative investments. It provides a base of knowledge in alternative investments to help investment advisors and their teams comprehend, discuss, and position these asset classes with clients. Designed for anyone who wants to build a functional knowledge of alternative investments, the program is recommended for financial advisors, administrators, and professionals in operations, sales, marketing, and legal and compliance. Content includes portfolio construction, risk management, due diligence, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and much more.

The Investments & Wealth Institute Essentials of Investment Consulting program is comprised of the Investment Consulting Process and Math for Investment Consultants courses. It is tailored for financial services professionals and their teams seeking to enhance their fundamental knowledge of core topics related to investment consulting. The program utilizes educational primers on investment consulting, new study techniques, and tools to assure an enhanced learning experience. It covers foundational concepts and applications such as portfolio construction, investment types, manager selection, performance measurement, investment policies, and key mathematics.

Also available through the Center for Distribution Excellence is CFA Institute’s Investment Foundations Program. This online certificate program covers the essentials of finance, ethics, and investment roles, providing a clear understanding of the global investment industry for anyone working with, or for, a financial services organization.

The courses offered by CAIA, Investments & Wealth Institute, and CFA Institute are available at discounted or preferred pricing through the MMI Center for Continuous Learning. Also available through the Center are MMI’s Wholesaler Training Center, a comprehensive training and coaching curriculum for financial sales professionals; US SIF Foundation’s course on the Fundamentals of Sustainable and Impact Investing; and the Responsible Investment FundamentalsResponsible Investment EssentialsEnhanced Financial Analysis, and Sustainable and Responsible Investment for Trustees courses from PRI Academy, the training arm of the United Nations supported Principles for Responsible Investment.

In late June, MMI’s Fundamentals of Investment Advisory Solutions, a new series of eight foundational courses on the key functions, processes, and regulations associated with the investment advisory business, will be added to the Center. The growing suite of courses available through the Center afford financial services firms the ability to construct an economical, customized learning program for their associates.
