MMI recently hosted a special web briefing on two important issues that have been in the news – the hiring practices of firms doing business in other countries and allegations of foreign exchange rate manipulation.
Featured speakers included:
- Steve Stone, George Terwilliger III, Martha Stoley, and Robert Bittman, all Partners at Morgan Lewis – who reviewed key provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and what they mean to member firms.
- Jamie Singleton, Vice Chairman, Cürex Group – who provided an overview of the $5.3 Trillion/day FX marketplace, the investigations that have it in the news, and why fiduciary duty should drive a fresh look at custodial FX execution and benchmarks. Cürex is a new MMI member whose leadership team has deep experience in the institutional FX marketplace and experience building state-of-the-art FX technology platforms.
