On Wednesday, April 20, MMI will honor excellence in the Advisory Solutions industry at its eighth annual Industry Leadership Awards dinner during the 2016 Annual Convention in Washington, DC.
For 2016, a total of ten Industry Leadership Awards will be awarded. The Awards are organized into four major categories: Sponsor Firms, Investment Managers, Solutions Providers, and an Open category.
MMI members are invited to nominate firms that have demonstrated outstanding innovation and exemplify overall excellence, achievement, and growth in advisory solutions over the past year.
All nominations must be submitted online by
Friday, March 4th at 5pm Eastern time
and must include detailed supporting information.
Please take careful note of the following ground rules - some of which are new for 2016:
- Firms are encouraged to nominate other firms.
- Self-nominations of your own firm are allowed.
- However, a firm must submit only one official nomination on its own behalf in any award category.
- Multiple self-nominations received from the same firm in any award category will be disallowed - so it is important that a firm coordinate and submit one official self-nomination in any category.
- For each category in which a firm nominates itself, it must also submit a nomination for another firm in another category.
- A firm is not required to submit a nomination in every category, but must submit as many nominations for other firms as it submits for itself. The nominations for other firms can be in any category.
- All nominations submitted by a firm - whether for itself or for another firm - must include the detailed supporting information required in the online nomination form.

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit MMI's workplace diversity program, Gateway to Leadership, a 501(c)(3) charity. The Gateway to Leadership program is a partnership between MMI and UNCF (the United Negro College Fund) that provides internships and career opportunities for well-qualified university students that might not otherwise have a natural entryway into the financial services industry. With the class of summer 2016, Gateway will have placed more than 160 students with MMI member firms for summer internships and lifelong career guidance.
The dinner is always a fun and rewarding experience, allowing us to celebrate outstanding performers in the advisory solutions industry while helping pave "The Path to Success" for deserving Gateway students. Details on how to obtain your tickets for the dinner will be available when registration for the Annual Convention opens later this month.
