Once again, MMI and the program task force were extremely impressed by the quality and experience of the applicants. Like the program’s inaugural class, the 2016 class is composed of driven, up-and-coming leaders from MMI member firms including diverse representation from asset managers, sponsor firms, and solutions providers.
At a special luncheon to kick off their attendance at the Fall Solutions Conference, the program participants – both the new and returning classes – met with each other and the task force members. The participants were also joined by members of MMI’s Board of Governors, providing them a special opportunity to network with senior industry leaders. From there, they attended the full two-day conference and networked with the conference’s 320 attendees and sponsors.
MMI is extremely excited to welcome the new class to the Leadership Pathway program and the MMI community.
We must also recognize the hard work of the program’s task force throughout the candidate selection process. The task force members are: Jason Ainsworth, Neuberger Berman (Board Oversight); Joel Hempel, Lockwood Advisors (Co-Chair); Brian Schappert, American Century Investments (Co-Chair); Angela Carter, Charles Schwab; Michelle Liller, Lazard Asset Management; Dianne Morin, Fiserv; and Meghan Shea, TIAA.
Unfamiliar with the program? The Leadership Pathway program is designed to recognize talented and motivated individuals in the next generation and engage them in MMI activities. The program’s goal is to help participants develop the leadership and collaboration skills that will equip them to assume increasing levels of responsibility and actively contribute to addressing critical industry issues and opportunities. Each class in the program will participate for two years with a new class beginning every October.
