MMI is Hiring: Vice-President Membership Services, MMI

The position reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Membership and Programs Officer.

The position is responsible to support membership acquisition and retention.

Support Membership development by understanding and articulating MMI value proposition

  • Assist with membership development and prospecting
  • Manage and resolve member client services issues 
  • Support new member recruitment and retention leveraging MMI assets and value proposition
  • Professionally represent and articulate MMI’s mission to existing and prospective members through written and verbal communications
  • Exhibit partnering skills and support growth through association partnerships
    • Evaluate and assess association competition to ensure MMI delivers gold standard services
    • Research, evaluate and collaborate with other associations to create partnerships and synergies to benefit the industry. Associations may include: SIFMA, PAICR, ICI, etc. 
    • Coordinate engagements and build relationships with senior executives at member firms
    • Liaison to MMI committees helping them further their mission
    • Manage member inquiries
    • Manage the membership application process
    • Manage prospect contacts  
    • Publish reports on membership status
    • Develop and manage membership recruitment efforts including maintenance of standard letters and schedule for follow-up to prospective members
    • Coordinate member profile questionnaire changes with other staff and in member database
    • Develop and manage processes for regularly identifying member needs
    • Develop and manage process for member feedback on programs and services
    • Support Conferences, Forums, Conference Planning
    • Collaborate with colleagues 


  • Position will be located in NY
  • Some travel required (20%)
  • 5-7 years experience in the investment advisory solutions industry
  • Undergraduate degree in related major, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective client outreach and delivery campaigns
  • Information seeker with the ability to read, analyze and interpret marketing and business related journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail, in a faced-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels and departments of the firm
  • Strong team player with desire to collaborate in a start-up group within a more established firm
  • Able to work independently as well as with others
  • Able to leverage existing assets for new purposes and enhance and improve on existing processes
