What are the data standards?
MMI and the Managed Account Solutions Standards (MASS) Committee believes the current state of connectivity in the managed solutions industry does not allow for the efficient flow of data between the sponsors, investment managers, broker dealers, and custodians that service the industry. The MASS Committee is committed to an open source XML messaging standard that will stream line the communication necessary to conduct business between sponsors, investment managers, broker dealers, custodians and other industry participants. This is driven by the belief that the future growth of the industry may be significantly inhibited if communication standards are not implemented.
