Kayne Anderson Rudnick, a Los Angeles-based boutique Investment Management and Wealth Advisory Firm is seeking an experienced new business development and client service professional.

The firm offers a broad set of equity and fixed income strategies, including US Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap Equity, in addition to Taxable and Municipal Fixed Income portfolios.  The firm offers these strategies through separately managed accounts, sub-advised portfolios and mutual funds. The firm manages approximately $4billion in AUM and is looking to grow strategically, focused on the institutional, broker-dealer and high net worth markets. The firm has an established, well known brand in each of these markets.

Job Summary: Senior Portfolio Advisor

The Kayne Anderson Rudnick Senior Portfolio Advisor is responsible for new business development and client service activities in the institutional, broker-dealer and high net worth markets.

The Senior Portfolio Advisor is responsible for communicating KAR portfolio management strategy & process, along with detail information regarding portfolio construction, characteristics, investment performance, attribution and outlook.

The position is responsible for an assigned geographic territory.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. 1. New business development activities involving the institutional, broker-dealer and high net worth markets
  2. 2. Client service activities through portfolio review meetings with clients and their advisors

Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:


1. 5 years direct experience in new business development activities with an investment management company

2. College Degree required, MBA and/or CFA preferred

3. Demonstrated success in new business development activities with an investment management company

4. Demonstrated success in communication skills

Special Working Conditions:

Extensive, ongoing travel within a defined geographic territory.


National Trust Tax Director

Job Description
Position Description
The National Trust Tax Director is responsible for directing a team of tax professionals in four US tax locations and Mumbai to deliver tax reporting and compliance services for more than 40,000 trust, estate and charitable foundation clients, as well as individuals and certain LLCs and partnerships used for investment purposes. The senior Trust Tax team members will assist Wealth Advisors and the integrated Wealth Management teams in ensuring strategies implemented to optimize client tax liabilities can be effectively managed and reported to achieve the client’s objective while meeting the requirements of the various regulating agencies. The National Trust Tax Director will:
Maintain an industry leading tax reporting and compliance team with significant U.S. and state planning/reporting expertise. The team must have the experience needed to ensure filing compliance for extremely complex trust structures and investment vehicles.
Ensure the team continually augments their foreign tax and cross border treaty experience to meet the tax reporting needs of ultra high net worth clients and the related trust structures.
Build and maintain close partnerships with key constituents including Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers, Closely Held Asset Management, Corporate Risk Management, and Corporate Tax. These relationships will be critical to ensuring tax reporting responsibilities arising from complex tax planning strategies delivered by these partners can be achieved.
Stay abreast of current industry developments and changes in federal and state laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure the Firm accurately files appropriate reports to maintain compliance.
Maintain appropriate fiduciary risk management and quality control processes (accuracy, timeliness, etc.) to ensure our tax reporting responsibilities are fulfilled in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Identify and implement process efficiencies that maintain our high professional standards while continuing to deliver services cost-effectively.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
• Graduate Degree or Advanced Credentials (CPA, CFA, JD, MBA).
• Ten to fifteen years of U.S. (federal and state) tax reporting experience, with high net worth client experience strongly preferred
• Foreign tax and cross border treaty experience is a significant plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the tax impact of various investment products to the reporting requirements.
• Employee management experience required.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and recommend appropriate solutions using available internal and external resources within strict time constraints

The Centralized Portfolio Management Group (CPMG) is the implementation engine for Private Wealth Management’s discretionary investment business, providing leverage for investment advisors and other front office partners as they pursue the Firm’s growth initiatives. CPMG rebalances and manages risk in accounts across our investment management and trust portfolios.
We are actively seeking a leadership candidate to help manage the Portfolio Management team.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
1. Managing team of PMs responsible for the implementation of portfolio construction based on Strategy team’s calls and investment vehicle selection
2. Maintain knowledge of the investment solutions utilized throughout PWM, including, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, structured notes, hedge funds, and separately managed accounts
3. Represent CPMG on the investment leadership team

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred
